The Philadelphia 76ers road woes continue as they fall to the Atlanta Hawks behind a dominant performance from Trae Young.
Atlanta began the game on fire, pouring in 39 points in the first quarter. Trae Young posted a first quarter double-double, scoring 14 points and recording 10 assists.
The Philadelphia 76ers showcased a strong performance as well, scoring 31 points with an attacking Ben Simmons leading the way.
The second quarter was much of the same with both teams racing up and down the court with Philadelphia producing 36 points and Atlanta scoring 35. The two teams entered the half with Atlanta leading 74-67.
The second half was a much slower paced game between the two teams. Despite slowing down Atlanta in the second half, Philadelphia couldn’t keep up their offensive momentum from the first half.
An even third quarter left Philadelphia trailing by seven points entering the fourth quarter where they continued to struggle generating offense and were stymied down the stretch before falling 127-117.
The Sixers’ next game is Saturday in Boston at 8:30 PM E.T.
