Dragan Bender

Dragan Bender is easily one of the biggest draft bust in the past five years. He was the fourth pick in the 2016 NBA Draft has hasn’t averaged more than 6.5 points in a single season. The European big man was 19-years-old when the Phoenix Suns drafted him so that probably played a part in his failures.

He failed to make a lasting impact on the Suns and signed with the Bucks this past summer. He’s seen very limited time with the Bucks as he’s only played in seven games this season. The good news he’s showing real signs of develop.

He’s averaging 3.7 points and 2.9 rebounds, while shooting 47.6 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent on 3-pointers. Both shooting percentages are career highs for him. When the Bucks assign him to the G-League, he’s averaged 20.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 blocks, while making 50.0 percent of his field goals and 41.9 percent of his 3-point attempts.

He could in time be a nice stretch power forward or center to pair with Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid depending on how he develops on the defensive end. He probably won’t cost the 76ers too much to acquire and below is a potential deal that should make Milwaukee want to send him the Philly.

It’s a pretty straight forward deal, the two teams swap Bolden and Bender, along with the Bucks getting a second round pick, via the Dallas Mavericks (per RealGM). Both Bender and Bolden don’t play big parts for both team’s success this season, but the Bucks get Bolden for an extra season longer under a cheap deal and a second round pick. That should be enough for the Bucks to want to do a deal.
