9. Raul Neto

January Stats: GP 11| MINS 11.5| FG% 40.8| 3P% 38.1| FT% 87.5| TRB 0.9| AST 1.7| BKL 0.3| STL 0.5| PF 1.4| TOV 0.7| PTS 5.0

Previous ranking: 11th

“January was a breakout month for the second-year guard.”

For the most part, Raul Neto performed at the level that he was expected to play at. He didn’t put up big stats, except for that one game against the Golden State Warriors where he had 19 points. Outside of the one exception, Neto played at his normal level of production. He’s a replacement-level backup point guard and played as such during January.

8. Shake Milton

January Stats: GP 5| MINS 22.2| FG% 55.9| 3P% 50.0| FT% 66.7| TRB 3.6| AST 2.8| STL 0.6| PF 2.6| TOV 1.0| PTS 11.2

Previous ranking: 14th

Honestly, if Shake Milton had played more games, he would have easily been higher in these rankings. He took on a big role when Josh Richardson didn’t play due to injury. Shake impressed with his poise, scoring and playmaking skills while starting in Richardson’s place. He even scored a career-high 27 points (per RealGM) against the Atlanta Hawks. January was a breakout month for the second-year guard.

7. Matisse Thybulle

January Stats: GP 11| MINS 26.9| FG% 29.7| 3P% 22.2| FT% 58.3| TRB 3.1| AST 1.4| BKL 1.1| STL 1.9| PF 2.8| TOV 1.0| PTS 5.0

Previous ranking: 10th

It was a horrible month for Matisse Thybulle in terms of shooting, but his defense made up for it. The rookie had his second-best steals and blocks average of any month outside of October. Thybulle played smart defense in January which is what the Sixers needed. It also helped him to get a good amount of starts in that month as well thanks to the injuries. It should go a long way in his development for the 76ers playoff run.
