Glenn Robinson III hit a three
That doesn’t sound like a major accomplishment, but he hadn’t made a three in a Sixers uniform until the Lakers game, when he exploded for 25 points and went 3-for-5 from deep.
Robinson is in a weird spot with the Sixers. He was starting for the Warriors in a contract year when they traded to Philadelphia, who asked him to come off the bench. Then spacing issues with Al Horford pushed him into the starting lineup.
So, I understand his earlier concerns with not understanding his role. He’s already been jockeyed around a bunch in Philadelphia. His role should clearly be defined as a 3-and-D player regardless of if he is in the starting lineup or coming off the bench. If he shoots it well from three and plays solid defense, Robinson will be a valuable piece in a playoff run.
Hopefully this road trip helped him regain confidence in his shot.
