The Philadelphia 76ers have had many great players over the years. We’re here to find out our following’s all-time favorite.

It’s the heart of March and no basketball is being played, aside from a handful of dangerous rebels at the local park. In the absence of a true March Madness, we here at The Sixer Sense have devised a tournament of our own.

In the coming days, we will release a bracket — comprised of 64 individuals — and hold votes to determine our following’s all-time favorite Sixer. There are no “rules” beyond the obvious. In each individual matchup, vote for your favorite player. Not necessarily for the best player, but the one who resonates most strongly with you as a fan of Philadelphia 76ers basketball.

You can drop suggestions on our Twitter and Facebook pages, and you can vote daily on Twitter once the bracket is released.

MARCH MADNESS!It’s time for a little fun. We’re crafting a 64-person bracket for your favorite #Sixers of all-time….

For example, if the matchup is Hollis Thompson vs. Allen Iverson, and you have a strong personal connection to Thompson and hold his contributions to ‘The Process’ in a special light, then vote for Hollis Thompson. No one will know, no one will judge. Twitter polls are anonymous.

The will play out over several days and inevitably multiple weeks, so hopefully it helps fill the time while many of us (myself included) are shuttered in the house until further notice. The coronavirus has hit the U.S. hard, but we can persevere. We can also find fun things to do, this included.

You can expect more posts on this very subject in the future — including daily “matchup breakdowns” on each quarter of the bracket. It will run the same as the NCAA Tournament. 64, to 32, to 16, to eight, to four, to two, to one. As for who No. 1 will be, it’s anyone’s guess.

You can drop your own suggestions in the comment section, and we will head everyone’s input between now and the release of the bracket. May the most favorite man win.
