Philadelphia 76ers: What a potential Devin Booker trade would look like

If the Philadelphia 76ers decided to pursue a trade for the Phoenix Suns’ All-Star shooting guard, what would that deal look like?

Philadelphia 76ers All-Star point guard Ben Simmons read a comment on his Twitch stream which stated that the Sixers should trade for Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns. The idea is a very interesting one that the 76ers front office should consider, as I wrote recently.

If general manager Elton Brand deems it a worthwhile venture, then he will have to devise a trade he can propose to the Suns and their general manager James Jones. However, the only way that Philly has a chance of acquiring the All-Star shooting guard is if Phoenix decides to make him available.

It seems unlikely that the Suns would make him available unless he asks to be traded. I’ve already written about Phoenix’s failures to make the playoffs during his tenure and his lone All-Star appearance, despite him having multiple seasons in which he had produced on an All-Star level, could make him want a trade.

For Booker’s career, he’s averaged 22.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.7 assists, while converting 35.5 percent from downtown. This season was even more impressive for the young shooting guard. He averaged 26.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 6.6 assists, while making 36.0 percent from deep.

With those type of numbers, it’s not hard to imagine that the asking price for Booker would be high, especially because he’s under contract until after the 2023-2024 season. With those factors in mind, the next slide has formulated a potential trade that could land Booker in Philly.
