Cole Anthony‘s season was widely considered a disappointment. He was plagued by injury and inconsistency, and his advanced statistics do little to improve the picture. Still, he flashed the quick-twitch athleticism and scoring upside that led so many to fall in love with him before the season. Pedigree alone will probably keep Anthony in or around the top-10.

Detroit happens to need a point guard. In fact, Detroit needs star power to move the franchise forward, and there’s a strong argument to be made that Anthony has the highest ceiling of any prospect left on the board, even as his slightly advanced age.

There is a good chance Derrick Rose is moved before the 2021 trade deadline. At that point, Anthony can step in as the lead playmaker for a Pistons team on the verge of a long rebuild. He should have no shortage of opportunities here.
