5. Simmons’ first triple

The moment we have all been waiting for finally came. Dribbling up the court, being urged on by fans, Ben Simmons pulls up and hits a three while his biggest fan, Joel Embiid, celebrates for him. Okay, so this one was in a preseason exhibition against a team from China, but it still gave so much hope for the season ahead.

With two seasons and 172 games under his belt Ben Simmons finally made his first regular season three on Nov. 20 against the New York Knicks. Without hesitation Simmons took a bounce pass from Furkan Korkmaz and drilled a corner three right in front of the Sixers bench. The Wells Fargo Center went ballistic. Philadelphia exploded. Twitter erupted.

The day had finally come, Ben Simmons hit a three. Sixers fans everywhere rejoiced.
