The 7-foot center was drafted third in the 2014 NBA Draft and was a star as soon as he took the floor in the 2016-17 season. Despite only playing 31 games during his first season, he was a legit candidate for Rookie of the Year and made the All-Rookie first team.
Embiid is the crown jewel of “The Process” and has been a three-time All-Star in four seasons and has also been named to the All-NBA second time twice already. For his career, Embiid has averaged 24.1 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game. Embiid has been elite defensively as he’s All-Defensive second team twice.
Injuries and conditioning have been the things that have kept Embiid from true greatness. Maybe those things eventually have him slip in these rankings, but for now, he’s still the most accomplished and dominant player the Sixers have drafted in the past 10 years.
