10. Jahlil Okafor

Jahlil Okafor could have been lower in these rankings, but he’s 10th thanks to the bloated averages from his rookie season when he averaged 17.5 points and 7.0 rebounds. However, his normal stats don’t show just how terrible he was during his stint with the Philadelphia 76ers and that’s not even including his offcourt issues.

Drafting Okafor with the third overall pick back in the 2015 NBA, is arguably the worst selection the Sixers made over the past 10 years. Okafor might have been better served if he entered the NBA 10 years before he actually did. He was a slow, back to the basket center who didn’t offer much in rebounding or defense.

His conditioning was an issue and part of the reason why he didn’t look like he was trying hard most nights. Things didn’t seem to get better as time progressed, he lost ground to the 76ers’ other lottery big man and even was supplanted by Philly’s former second round pick Richaun Holmes. Before the 6-foot-10 center was traded during his third season, he was barely playing at all.

The Sixers had to attach Nik Staukas and a future second round pick to get the Brooklyn Nets to take him. During his tenure with 76ers, he averaged 14.6 points and 5.9 rebounds. After his stint in Brooklyn ended, he’s currently playing for the New Orleans Pelicans as a third-string/specialty big man where he’s only seen marginal improvements.
