8. Furkan Korkmaz

Before this season, Furkan Korkmaz probably would have been near the bottom of this list. However, his coming out party during his third season has completely changed his narrative. The 6-foot-7 wing was drafted with the 26th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

“The 76ers’ front office should want to keep him moving forward and luckily for Philly, he’s on a cheap contract for one more season before he becomes a free agent.”

In his first two seasons, Korkmaz only played in a total of 62 games and never averaged more than six points per game in either season. He also shot under 33.0 percent from deep in both seasons. Considering he was supposed to be a floor spacer, he was pretty bad at it his first two years. On top of that, he was a defensive liability.

This season has changed everything for Korkmaz. He’s averaging 9.7 points on 39.7 percent shooting on his 3-pointers. He’s been a scoring spark off the bench this year and has been one of the most reliable bench players for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Korkmaz is still a liability on the defensive end, but he’s proving to be a real scoring/shooting threat. The 76ers’ front office should want to keep him moving forward and luckily for Philly, he’s on a cheap contract for one more season before he becomes a free agent.
