19. LEANDRO BOLMARO, Wing, Barcelona
Leandro Bolmaro has struggled to find a consistent role in Euroleague play, but he has gotten extended run with Barcelona’s B-team. There are flaws to pick apart, and Bolmaro is certainly a work in progress, but in a class light on top-end talent, he has a mix of skills that is difficult to look past.
Listed at 6-foot-8, Bolmaro has great size for a potential playmaker. He’s a slippery athlete, he has a taste for advanced passes, and he’s fairly skilled all-around. In the increasingly positionless NBA, someone who can transition seamlessly between positions has real value.
Bolmaro needs to improve as a decision-maker. His negative assist-to-turnover ratio is a major negative, even if his passing chops are evident on tape. Flash and craft as a passer can only take you so far if you cough up the basketball on a regular basis. He will also need to prove his merits as a shooter.
