13. AARON NESMITH, Wing, Vanderbilt
Aaron Nesmith will challenge the aforementioned Tyrell Terry for the title of best shooter in this year’s class. He’s an absolute sniper, and shot over 50 percent on a healthy volume of threes before his season prematurely ended 14 games in. He’s the real deal.
At 6-foot-6, Nesmith has a solid frame for his position. He’s not only a good shooter, but a versatile one — standstill, on the move, it doesn’t matter. That alone should instantly give him a role at the next level. He has a clear and translatable NBA skill, which cannot be said for everyone on this list.
One of the biggest concerns for Nesmith is his recent injury history. He was knocked out after 14 games because of a foot injury, which are sometimes tricky. He’s also a fairly limited player beyond his honey-sweet stroke, but then again, elite shooters are valuable enough as is.
