24. THEO MALEDON, Guard, ASVEL
At 6-foot-4, Theo Maledon has good physical tools for the point guard position. He’s not bursting at his muscular seams, but he is light on his feet and should capably defend either guard spot. He also has a decent track record as an 18-year-old professional, which counts for something.
He’s not an elite shooter, but Maledon has workable mechanics and promising percentages. He can work either on-ball or off-ball, which increases lineup flexibility for whoever drafts him. All in all, it’s not difficult to picture his fit in a more postionless NBA that prioritizes playmaking above all else.
Though to a much lesser degree than Tillie, Maledon also comes with some recent bugaboos on the injury report. He recovered fine in Europe and finished the abbreviated season strong, but teams are always cautious and will probably want a close look at his medical records.
