Someone who has risen up several draft boards in recent weeks, Kira Lewis Jr. has a real chance to crack the top-15. He was one of the most productive point guards in college basketball last season, and his skill set projects nicely to the NBA game.

The Magic don’t need a point guard, as Markelle Fultz appears capable of carrying that torch in the future. Still, given Orlando’s abundance of forwards and big men, it’s important to balance out the roster. Not to mention, it’s difficult not to feel at least partially uneasy about Fultz’s future, even if the most recent samples are positive.

Lewis can fill minutes next to Fultz or behind him. He’s lightning quick — probably the fastest player in the draft — and he accompanies that speed with a well-rounded skill set. Lewis can manipulate defenses with his quick-twitch dribble moves, he can race ahead of defenses in transition, and he’s a fairly strong three-point shooter. There’s a lot to like.
