The Bucks get a natural fit here. Tyrell Terry is arguably the top shooter in the draft, operating on the same level as Aaron Nesmith and a select few others. At 6-foot-2, 160 pounds, he is undeniably frail. But he’s also a deadeye marksman who can contribute in a variety of ways on offense. The pros outweigh the cons.
Terry is able to hit just about any shot behind the three-point line. He can run DHOs, stand in the corner, or fly around screens J.J. Redick-style. His mechanics are scrumptious, and he’s a genuinely smart basketball player who far exceeds the label of “chucker.”
In addition to his shooting, Terry has legitimate point guard skills. He can create in the pick-and-roll and make high-level passes on the move. He will need to prove his merit on defense — and inevitably add muscle to a small frame — but the offensive kick is too much for Milwaukee to ignore.
