27th pick: Knicks- Zeke Nnaji

Geib-

Zeke Nnaji made the most of his one season at the University of Arizona and deservedly moved up draft boards as the season went on. As a relatively strong recruit coming out of high school his game needed polishing prior to entering the NBA. Nnaji did just that and finished the season leading the Wildcats in points and rebounds.

The New York Knicks, as stated before, have been in a perpetual state of disappointment. By pairing a large paint presence like Nnaji, with an athletic guard in Cole Anthony, the 2020 draft might plant the seeds for a return to relevance for the Knicks.

28th pick: Raptors- Daniel Oturu

Gilbert-

Let’s face it, the Raptors big men aren’t getting any younger. Marc Gasol will turn 36 next season and Serge is turning 30. Though they are both effective players in the late stages of their careers, the Raptors are going to need some youth in the frontcourt to pair with Pascal Siakam.

Coming out of Minnesota University, Daniel Oturu, is a walking double-double. He averaged 20.1 points and 11.2 rebounds per game shooting 56.2% from the field. He is 6-foot-10 with range, a post-game, and a nose for boarding the basketball. Given the opportunity to learn from players like Gasol and Ibaka, Oturu and Siakam could grow into a frontcourt duo feared league-wide.
