16. TYRELL TERRY / GUARD / STANFORD

A bit of surprise this season was Tyrell Terry, who many expected to stay another year at Stanford. He now plans to enter the draft, and many seem to be catching up on his well-deserved hype. In my book, he’s someone who top-20 teams should jump all over.

Terry is an elite shooter — maybe even the best shooter in the draft. Whether it’s standing still or on the move, he’s a threat to pull the trigger at any range. His mechanics are sweet and compact, and his percentages (on impressively high volume) indicate an elite shooting presence. That skill alone should have NBA teams salivating.

In addition to his shot-making prowess, Terry is also a talented playmaker with real point guard flashes. He can create in the pick-and-roll, break down defenses, and effectively leverage his threat as a pull-up shooter. A 160-pound frame is a major red flag — he’ll need to bulk up — but Terry is a borderline lottery talent.
