15. KIRA LEWIS JR. / GUARD / ALABAMA
Kira Lewis Jr. was quietly one of the most productive guards in college basketball this season. He has been a steady riser all year, and the lottery now seems like a legitimate possibility. And deservedly so. He’s more well-rounded than most give him credit for.
At 6-foot-3, Lewis is maybe the fastest end-to-end player in this class. He’s a lightning bolt in transition and a shifty scorer in the halfcourt. He combines an elite first step with a deep bag. He has no trouble keeping a defender off balance, and he excels at creating his own looks. Lewis also thrives as a playmaker, especially in the pick-and-roll. He takes advantage of his athletic gifts.
A thin frame is a concern, and Lewis doesn’t provide a ton of value on defense. But even so, his speediness — as well as great feel and instincts at the lead guard spot — should prove fruitful at the next level.
