156. . Wing / Georgia. Cleveland Cavaliers. Anthony Edwards. 1. player

The Cavs strike lottery gold and get the No. 1 pick. The favorite in this scenario in Anthony Edwards, who lived up to high expectations in his lone season at UGA. While probably not the best top pick in recent years, Edwards delivers another scoring punch to Cleveland’s guard-heavy rotation.

At 6-foot-5, Edwards is built like a tank. He’s an aggressive slasher who embraces contact at the rim, and he’s a crafty scorer who can create his own shot along the perimeter. Edwards has a tendency to fall into bad shots, but he can certainly make them. And with more grooming and a decreased burden to score, he could thrive as a bucket-getter on the wing.

Cleveland needs someone to play next to Darius Garland and Collin Sexton. While Edwards would round out a rather small triumvirate, the Cavs could survive with him at the three. Both Garland and Sexton are good shooters who can survive off-ball and allow Edwards room to work.
