NBA Draft 2020: Mock Draft 4.0
The Warriors are shallow at the center spot, in that the center spot is the only position not set in stone for next season. Golden State has the chance to add young firepower next to Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Draymond Green. Wiseman is absolutely the favorite here.
Some expect Wiseman to go No. 1, but this one of the rare draft classes without a clear-cut top prospect. The Cavs just invested in Andre Drummond and presumably want to keep it going. The Wolves have KAT. The Warriors get a hulking 7-footer who can score efficiently at the rim and, with proper development, become a formidable rim protector.
Wiseman has a lot of room left to grow, and he only played three games at Memphis, so his exposure beyond high school is limited. Even so, his physical tools are impossible to ignore, and he has a fairly impressive bag of offensive skills. He needs more development, but what better place to develop than Golden State, where he needn’t press himself and where his workload is both small and manageable.
