The Sixers face a difficult challenge in their final Orlando scrimmage.

While the Sixers’ 1-1 record might suggest uneven performances, Philadelphia has dominated its first two scrimmages in Orlando. The starting five blasted the core groups for both Memphis and OKC, leading to well-earned optimism across the fanbase.

The Sixers’ third and final scrimmage features the Dallas Mavericks as opponents. Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis helmed one of the NBA’s best offenses this season, making Dallas a true contemporary of Philadelphia in the Finals race — outsiders with enough talent to challenge the league’s elite.

Here’s what you should watch for in this primetime matchup. Tip off is at 8:30 PM E.T. on NBA TV.

5. Will Embiid play?

That is the question. Joel Embiid has played 10 of a possible 88 minutes so far due to calf tightness. He’s listed as questionable for this game. Of course, the Sixers should proceed with the utmost caution when it comes to their star center.

This article will get updated as more news comes to light. But if Embiid plays, it has a drastic impact on how the Sixers function on both ends. The drop-off from Embiid to Al Horford is well documented at this point.
