Ben Simmons isn’t happy about the Philadelphia 76ers’ playoff sweep.

It was the Philadelphia 76ers vs. Toronto Raptors series last postseason where the loss especially impacted Joel Embiid. These playoffs, it was star playmaker Ben Simmons who was significantly affected by the Sixers getting swept by the Boston Celtics.

Simmons didn’t play in their series as he’s dealing with a knee injury that occurred earlier in the Disney Bubble. The newly minted power forward isn’t known for letting his emotions be known often, so him stating this in a public forum is a big deal.

How will he use this?

It will interesting to see how Simmons converts these feelings moving forward. Hopefully, it will mean he will focus on getting health this offseason try to make strides in his game. One of the improvements fans will be hoping for would have to be his outside shooting.

Only time will tell if this will positively impact Simmons, but this seems like an ideal catalyst for Simmons to use to improve. However, this isn’t the only emotional event Simmons will have to deal with this past week.

Philly fired his only professional coach in Brett Brown. The Sixers’ former coach has long-term ties with Simmons as Brown coach his father at one point. Losing a coach that he’s familiar with will certainly impact Simmons mentally.

Simmons should keep a close eye on what is going on with the front office. It appears that there are going to be changes within the organization outside of Elton Brand remaining the general manager. The good news for Simmons is that despite changes coming, he and Embiid are set to stay on the team.
