Eric Bledsoe continues to fly under the radar as one of the most solid two-way point guards in the NBA. Even so, his fit in Milwaukee’s system — or more specifically, next to Giannis Antetokounmpo — has been a constant point of debate, fair or not. The Bucks can spring for some insurance in the backcourt.

In Theo Maledon, the Bucks add a better shooter and a polished playmaker. Maledon has had the benefit of learning from Tony Parker in France, and while he will never fill Parker’s NBA shoes, it’s not hard to envision Maledon surprising folks as a rookie. He deserves more attention than he’s currently getting.

At 6-foot-5, Maledon has great physical tools for a point guard, which fits with Milwaukee’s lengthy rotation. He’s not an elite athlete, but a myriad of crafty dribble moves and a smooth pull-up jumper should allow Maledon to contribute amply.
