One potential trade from every Pacific Division team: Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers are currently one of the deepest teams in the NBA. They honestly aren’t in need of much in terms of having playable players on the roster. They have two superstar wings in Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, as well as, two sixth men of the year in Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell. Most of their second unit has starting level players like Reggie Jackson and JaMychal Green.

For all the great depth that they do have, they lack in terms of draft picks, first round picks in particular thanks to the George trade last offseason. They don’t have complete control of their own first round pick until 2027. With that in mind, the Philadelphia 76ers could offer a first round pick or two in a potential trade.

In this proposed deal, the Sixers get back Landry Shamet, who was the centerpiece of the trade that helped the 76ers acquire Tobias Harris. Sadly, the Sixers have desperate need of floor spacing, but trading for Shamet would go a long way to fix that problem.

He was the heir apparent to J.J. Redick in terms of being the sharpshooter of the future for Philly. The Clippers lose a valuable player in their rotation but they do get to rebuild their draft capital with this hypothetical trade.

Getting Furkan Korkmaz, the 21st pick in this draft, and a lottery-protected pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, which converts into two second rounders in 2023 and 2024 is beyond fair compensation for Shamet. Despite not being nearly as well rounded as a player that Shamet is, Korkmaz still is a sharpshooter which should get the Clippers interested.
