One potential trade from every Pacific Division team: Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns are an up and coming team with their performance in the Disney Bubble. They have a great young core of Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton. However, they don’t have a true third option offensively.

Kelly Oubre could be that guy, but he isn’t right now. Mikal Bridges is more of a 3-and-D player so he can’t be a third star for Ayton and Booker. They need a legit third option to put them into playoff contention in a loaded Western Conference.

The Sixers could offer one to the Suns if they are willing to trade for him.

Tobias Harris can be that legit third star for the Suns that they really need. Yes, his contract is bad, but the Suns can think about it like this. Trading Ricky Rubio allows them to put the ball into Bookers’ hands more as well allow them to see what they have in Jevon Carter as a starting point guard or draft one. They also get another first round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

They would be absolved from paying Oubre a big contract extension. Oubre is good, but it’s hard to gauge his true value. While Oubre is more of a two-way player at this point, Harris is better offensive and is a natural power forward that fills the Suns’ need at that position. Oubre is more of a small forward at this point and Bridges has played well at that position as well.

If the Suns want to add a legit third option offensively, trading for Harris should be on the table and this hypothetical deal makes that happen.
