Philadelphia 76ers: Why are Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons always being traded?

Because 76ers current management has shown if it is a bad decision, they will make it.

To quote noted basketball expert Forrest Gump on the 76ers management team: “Stupid is as stupid does.”

While a competent front office would not consider trading their top players, the collection of incompetents making decisions the past couple of seasons for the 76ers have shown quite clearly they have no clue. It is certainly possible they would get rid of their young superstars for scraps and some draft picks.

It is literally almost impossible to think of a personnel move that has worked out for the ‘collaborative’ effort of these dunderheads.

Since past performance is on their side, no reason for pundits not to imagine a team giving an suboptimal proposal to the Sixers and them jumping on it, because making suboptimal decisions is what they do.
