One potential trade with each Southeast Division team: Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards are an interesting trade partner in the Southeast Division. Despite having players like John Wall (currently recovering from another major injury) and Bradley Beal, they never have made a deep playoff push.

Wall has an uncertain future and Beal has been in the rumor mill for some time now. The Wizards already have the makings of a young core with Troy Brown, Rui Hachimura, and Thomas Bryant. The Sixers could help the Wizards enter a full rebuild if they decide to go that route.

If the Wizards wanted to, they could probably get the 76ers to give up more if trade talks for Beal got serious. That being said, this trade above is pretty fair compensation all things considered, and is a good starting point.

For Beal, Washington is getting a solid veteran center in Horford, although he is grossly overpaid, a nice young prospect in Shake Milton and two first round picks in 2020 and 2022. It’s probably not the best haul that the Wizards could get for Beal, but it’s a fair trade package.

Beal is one of the best shooting guards in the NBA and it would make the Sixers an instant contender. If the Wizards are willing to take this package or any that don’t include Embiid and Simmons, then Philly should do it.
