One potential trade with each Central Division team: Cleveland Cavaliers
In terms of building a roster that can play smaller and faster, the Cleveland Cavaliers probably aren’t the best trade partner for the Philadelphia 76ers to reach that goal with. Still, it doesn’t mean that they don’t have a player on their roster who could help Embiid and Simmons fit better on offense.
This isn’t the first time that I’ve written about the Cavaliers being a landing spot for Horford. While Kevin Love doesn’t decrease Philly’s size or increase their ability to play faster, but he’s a much better floor spacer than Horford, which is a win for Philly.
Horford doesn’t help the Cavs besides being a veteran for this rebuilding team. However, considering how poor of playmakers that Collin Sexton and Darius Garland are at this point in their careers, adding Horford would help Cleveland with their ball movement.
The last time I did write on that it was just a straight swap for Love. However, because it’s a season later and the money doesn’t match, Smith was included in this deal. Smith is another young player the Cavaliers can evaluate in their rebuild. The Cavs won’t get a first rounder for Love, but getting a high second round pick isn’t bad for Cleveland either.
