The Suns went 8-0 in the Bubble and are primed for a genuine arrival in 2021. While Ricky Rubio is a strong option at point guard, he’s not the long-term solution next to Devin Booker. The Suns can groom Tyrell Terry to be Rubio’s successor.

Unlike Rubio, Terry is a shooter. In fact, he’s an elite shooter — arguably the most potent in this year’s draft. With sugar-sweet mechanics and impressive shot diversity, Terry in a threat anywhere inside 30 feet. On the move, standing still, triple-teamed — it doesn’t matter. The smallest sliver of space, and Terry is comfortable letting in fly.

On top of his jumper, Terry has real playmaking upside. He’s effective in the pick-and-roll, while rumors of strength gained this offseason should quell concerns about his ability to absorb contact and finish in traffic. It’s not difficult to envision him and Booker developing a fruitful partnership in the backcourt.
