13. Patrick Williams, wing, Florida State

No prospect has seen a more astronomic improvement in draft stock than Patrick Williams. He started the season as a relative unknown, and now enters draft week with a possible promise inside the top-10. Williams has clearly captured the imagination of NBA executives, and it’s tough to blame them.

Williams is a physical specimen. His bulky thighs, broad shoulders, and chiseled build pop on screen. While not overly explosive, Williams’ craft and his blossoming skill set are worthy of top-10 consideration. His work-in-progress reputation belies a real potential for immediate two-way contributions.

On offense, Williams is already fairly advanced. He cuts and moves like an experienced player, while his scoring chops are indicative of star potential. His knack for hitting contested jumpers, as well as his ability to finish through traffic, should elate potential suitors.
