2020 MOCK DRAFT
The 2020 NBA Draft is a strange beast. Firstly, it comes after months of uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic in America. Secondly, there was no NCAA Tournament, and the pre-draft process was both delayed and expedited.
Teams have had to adapt to foreign circumstances and a compressed timeline. The season starts in just over a month — Dec. 22 — so teams will also have to consider the lack of development time ahead of next season. It could lead to more upperclassmen and “sure things,” or it could spark the opposite — more teams punting picks down the line and drafting projects. No one knows.
With that said, projections are tough. Based on a whole lot of reading, as well as team fit and my own gut feeling (I know, I know, super meaningful), here’s how the NBA Draft might shake out. You can expect continuous updates between now and Wednesday night’s draft, so be sure to check back.
