Sixers podcast: Dwight Howard signing | other free agents | new lineups
By Uriah Young
Dwight Howard joins the Sixers, a handful of players are gone, and Morey still has time to make moves. This week’s podcast covers these topics and more.
On this episode of The Sixer Sense Podcast, Lucas Johnson and Christopher Kline address all of the recent trade moves and free agency signings for the Sixers.
They open up with thoughts on the Dwight Howard signing following the strange circumstances of his departure from LA. They express whether or not they were surprised with Howard becoming a Sixer. They also share their thoughts about how he could help the team in the upcoming season.
The next topic discussed is the current roster. With players leaving and new players coming in, there are going to be some lineup changes. Lucas and Chris discuss who will most likely be in the starting five on opening night. After that, they converse about what the Philadelphia 76ers’ bench rotation will be like.
Last week, we saw several Sixers players from last year either traded or released. Specifically, Alec Burks, Norvel Pelle, Marial Shayok, Raul Neto, and Zhaire Smith had to pack their bags. The podcast discusses if any of the players should’ve been kept and how they will be remembered for their time spent in Philadelphia.
After that, Lucas and Chris dive into free agents still available on the market. With D.J. Augustin out of the mix, who might they go after? Listen to find out who should be on the Sixers’ radar as the season approaches.
