Eastern Conference’s wildcard: Under the radar

As I previously mentioned the Philadelphia 76ers are the wildcard team in the East this year. The faithful Sixer fanbase has probably put more pressure on this team than the national spotlight. Sadly, the basketball world has not fully turned its light on them yet with other teams grasping their attention at the moment.

“Not elite, not bad, just good enough, and that’s exactly what makes the Sixers potentially dangerous”

Many NBA insiders are still enamored with the state of Milwaukee Bucks and if they can finally cash in on the freakish run that Giannis Antetokounmpo has been on for the past two years. Their’s interest in the Miami Heat with how they will respond fresh off of an NBA Finals appearance as well as can the Toronto Raptors return to the top now two years removed from their first NBA championship.

Philly has, for the most part, been counted out as a middle of the pack team. They could be lumped in with the Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers, and Brooklyn Nets of the East. This isn’t a bad thing, in fact could be really good for them. Not elite, not bad, just good enough, and that’s exactly what makes the Sixers potentially dangerous.
