Check-in for former Philadelphia 76ers players still in the NBA for the 2020-21 season.

Now that free agency has cooled down, it’s a good time to see where every former Philadelphia 76ers player has found an NBA. Only players who actually played a game for the franchise will be included on this list.

Brooklyn Nets

Shooting guard Landry Shamet starts off this list. He only played a half of a season with the Sixers before he was traded. He spent the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers and was traded to the Nets this offseason. He should be a solid role player, depending on how head coach Stev Nash wants to balance his lineups, Shamet could either be starting or a reserve off the bench.

After being traded by the 76ers, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot bounced around the NBA. He made stops with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Chicago Bulls before finding a home with the Nets. After having a breakout performance in the Disney Bubble, it will be interesting to see what type of role Luwawu-Cabarrot will have with the Nets this year.

Chicago Bulls

Veteran Thaddeus Young was a young staple of the Sixers during post Allen Iverson/pre Process era. The power forward spent seven seasons with the club and after his 76ers tenure was over, he’s played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Nets, and Indiana Pacers. He’s a veteran mentor for this young Bulls team who is coming off the bench.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Center JaVale McGee only played six games for Philly during “The Process” era. Since hitting that low point of his career with the Sixers, McGee has had a good run. He’s played for the Dallas Mavericks and won championships with both the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers. He was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers this offseason where he will probably be backing up Andre Drummond.
