By Uriah Young
Sixers season predictions and over/under scenarios are on the table this week. Also, the likeliest bench rotation is discussed. All of this and more on The Sixer Sense Podcast.
On this episode of The Sixer Sense Podcast, discussion is packed with tremendous anticipation for the 2020-2021 season starting this week. Lucas Johnson and Christopher Kline offer insight on the Sixers’ preseason results and expectations for the team going forward.
The first topic revolves around the two games Philadelphia played last week. Versus the Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics, a variety of Sixers stood out for different reasons. The podcast dives into which starters made an impact and the bench players who played to distinguish themselves for future minutes.
Once that topic is wrapped up, Lucas and Chris present arguments about the idea of James Harden coming to the Sixers in exchange for Ben Simmons. They offer analysis on the pros and cons of a deal, and they discuss the role of Daryl Morey in the process should trade talks escalate.
The next conversation revolves around over/under scenarios for the upcoming season. Will Joel Embiid average more than 25 points a game? Can Ben Simmons average over nine assists for the year? These scenarios, and more, drive the discussion in this segment.
Predictions for the season are up next. Where do we predict the Sixers will end up in the Atlantic Division and Eastern Conference standings? Which Sixer players will win All-NBA awards? Lucas and Chris give their opinions on these scenarios, and more, in this segment.
The final topic engages the hosts in the bench competition for reserve minutes. A few players are a lock to come off the bench, but some spots are still not as certain after such a short preseason for evaluation.
