Sixers contract value: Slightly overpaid

Mike Scott ($5.0 million overpaid)

Mike Scott hasn’t really contributed to winning to this point, which seems harsh until you realize that Scott is shooting 32 percent from the field and 25 percent from 3-point range. Mike Scott only makes $5 million so his negative value is limited. The silver lining of Scott’s contract is that it is expiring, making it perfect for matching salary in a trade.

Danny Green ($4.3 million overpaid)

Danny Green’s value is hurt by his terrible play in the team’s shorthanded games. Green significantly struggled in the games against the Nuggets and Hawks when he had to run more of the offense. Green does bring veteran leadership to the team and isn’t far off from his $15 million salary, but is still viewed as slightly overpaid.
