The Philadelphia 76ers’ rookie big man joined the Delaware Blue Coats.
In terms of headline news, the Philadelphia 76ers‘ rookies didn’t make too many waves this past week. One is a part of the rotation, one isn’t, and the third one is about to go play in the G-League. The one going to the G-League’s bubble in Orlando is probably the biggest news surrounding the team’s rookies this past week.
21st pick, 2020 draft
Point guard Tyrese Maxey is still in the rotation despite the team being near full health, outside of Mike Scott. As expected his role has diminished compared to earlier this season, but he’s still making a positive impact. He’s keeping his turnovers low and this past week he averaged 9.6 points per game. He was the team’s second highest scorer in the loss against the Detroit Pistons this past week with 17 points.
Season averages: 9.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.2 blocks, 0.7 turnovers, and 1.3 fouls. Shooting 46.7 percent on field goals, 29.3 percent on 3-pointers, and 85.7 on free throws.
49th pick, 2020 draft

The Sixers’ sharpshooting rookie only played 14 minutes in two games this past week and went a combined 2-4 from the floor and scored four points. It seems as if Isaiah Joe is stuck between not being ready for normal NBA minutes, but being too valuable to have play in the G-League bubble away from the team.
Season averages: 6.2 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.4 steals, 0.4 blocks, 0.4 turnovers, and 1.8 fouls. Shooting 38.3 percent on field goals, 37.0 percent on 3-pointers, and 100.0 on free throws.
58th pick, 2020 draft.
Speaking of the G-League, Paul Reed is the rookie that will be joining the Delaware Blue Coats in the Orlando Bubble. As I wrote recently, it’s clear the rookie big man isn’t even close to being ready for NBA minutes. Getting burn against G-Leaguers should help him a long way in his development.
Season averages: 4.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 0.8 assist, 0.3 steals, 1.0 blocks, 1.3 turnovers, and 1.0 fouls. Shooting 42.1 percent on field goals and 0.0 percent on 3-pointers.
Outside of Reed joining the Blue Coats, the news surrounding the Philadelphia 76ers’ rookies pretty much stayed the status quo this past week.
