In our first midweek episode, we break down the comeback win against the Kings on the road. We also propose potential deals the Sixers can make before the trade deadline.

Lucas Johnson and Christopher Kline bring fresh perspectives on the most recent Sixers victory. Against the Sacramento Kings in the first game of a four-game West Coast trip, Doc Rivers pulled out his defensive lineup in the final quarter to clamp down on a scorching hot De’Aaron Fox. The podcast elaborates on how the Sixers were able to stage another comeback win on the road, like the one they had against the Pacers last week.

They discuss how Joel Embiid can have an “off night” and the Sixers still come out on top. Though he scored below his average of almost 30 points a game, Embiid had help from Seth Curry, who shot the lights out in the first half. Lucas and Chris also laud the defensive brilliance of Matisse Thybulle, who could be a jump shot away from being a starter on the Sixers.

Once they wrap up the Kings game, the pod provides some interesting takes on the two former Sixers who are trying to make a name for themselves on the Kings. Could Richaun Holmes and Glenn Robinson III have a spot in the Sixers rotation had management kept them?

Then, the topic of possible trades is brought up. Who does Chris think could be brought to the 76ers that could make them the favorite in the Eastern Conference? What Philly native on another Atlantic Division team would Lucas like to bring to the Sixers? And who thinks two former Sixer 3-point snipers — Kyle Korver and J.J. Redick — could still be on the Sixers’ radar? These players and more are discussed in potential deals before the NBA trade deadline.

The podcast ends on who thinks the Sixers are real contenders in the east. With the Nets not looking put together and an underwhelming season start by Toronto and Miami, the 76ers may be the top team that is not getting as much national love as deserved.
