Unlike December’s player rankings, January’s rankings are much more accurate because it has a full month’s stats to pull from. However, to say that January was an easy month for the Philadelphia 76ers would be a lie.

The Sixers dealt with COVID-19 tracing protocols and James Harden trade rumors. They also waived Dakota Mathias and signed Rayjon Tucker to a two-way deal. As a result, Mathias won’t be included in these rankings as he’s no longer with the club.

Despite these issues that could have caused the team’s chemistry to fall apart, the club’s chemistry actually got better. To begin the new year, the Sixers went 11-5.

“…it’s more likely than not that he will either be apart of a trade or waived at some point this season.”

17. Rayjon Tucker

January Stats: N/A

After waiving rookie sharpshooter Mathias, the Sixers sign second year player Rayjon Tucker to a two-way deal. Tucker is an athletic shooting guard who has upside as a 3-and-D player despite only shooting 17.6 percent from deep for his career. However, it seems unlikely he will get playing time very often this year.

16. Terrance Ferguson

It’s so surprising to see the struggling Terrance Ferguson is still scoreless into the season. He’s missed some time, but his lack of production is a grim sign for the former first round pick. At this point, it’s more likely than not that he will either be apart of a trade or waived at some point this season.
