In a week in which the Philadelphia 76ers only played three games, it hard to choose a player who missed any games. With that in mind, despite Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons having greats games, it was Tobias Harris who gets this player of the week award.

Player of the Week: Tobias Harris

The loss against the Phoenix Suns was easily the least impressive of the games that Harris played this past week. He had 18 points, five rebounds, five assists, two turnovers, and one foul, while making 7-9 from the field and all four of his free throws. Harris led all Sixers players in assists for this game, which is impressive considering Simmons played in this game as well.

More from Sixers News

Harris scored a season-high 36 points in the defeat to the Utah Jazz. He also had 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and three fouls, while shooting 14-24 from the floor, 3-5 on 3-pointers, and 5-5 from the charity stripe.

The Sixers finally got their first win of the week against the Houston Rockets. Harris ended the game with 24 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, one steal, two blocks, and two fouls, while converting 8-17 of his field goal attempts, 1-2 of his 3-point shots, and 7-8 of his free throws. This was the first time fans saw “point-Harris” which was an interesting twist and it was his seventh double-double of the season.

Honorable Mention

Both Embiid and Simmons get this week’s honorable mention. Simmons had a career-high 42-points against the Jazz and Embiid had a near triple-double against the Rockets. If both had played all three games it would have been very difficult to choose a winner between the two of them.
