With the Sixers coming off a rough road trip, a victory against the Rockets helped fans regain that winning feeling again. This game is broken down, and more great topics are brought up in this episode.

On the mid-week episode of The Sixer Sense Podcast, Lucas Johnson and Uriah Young offer perspective on the recent games where the Sixers fell flat in Utah but rebounded against the Rockets at home. The pod analyzes the play of Ben Simmons in what most would argue was the best game of his career. Who else stood out in this game that saw Joel Embiid have to sit out due to back soreness?

The next topics revolves around the near collapse of the Sixers against the Houston Rockets. With Doc Rivers’ squad in full control for more than two quarters, a depleted Rockets team made a fourth quarter comeback, making the game closer than what it should have been. Lucas and Uriah praise the play of Joel Embiid, Seth Curry, and Tobias Harris. However, there were some subpar performances from the bench that had to be brought up.

From there, the podcast turns to the topic of Blake Griffin. The former perennial All-Star has been put on the trade block by the Detroit Pistons, who hope to get value in return for Griffin. Yet, he may have to be bought out, should no teams be interested in trading for him and his unfriendly contract. Lucas and Uriah talk about how he would impact the Sixers if Daryl Morey decided to make the call to bring in Griffin.

The next topic they dive into involves the All-Star festivities in March. Joel Embiid is a lock to start in the game, but which Sixers would have a chance to participate and even win in the other competitions? Which 76ers would represent Philly in the 3-point contest? Which Sixers could bring home the dunk contest trophy? Listen and find out!

Lastly, in honor of Black History Month, the podcast has a dialogue about a dilemma the NBA faced at one of the most turbulent times in American history. Tune in to find out the tragedy that occurred during the Civil Rights era that almost stopped all professional sports from playing their games, including the Sixers/Celtics Eastern Conference Finals.
