Philadelphia 76ers should see if Evan Fournier is available
This season has been going pretty well for the Philadelphia 76ers. They are first in the Eastern Conference, Joel Embiid is playing like an MVP, while both Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris are playing like All-Stars.
Certainly, this is the type of turnover that the Sixers were hoping for when they brought in Doc Rivers as head coach and Daryl Morey as president of basketball operations. However, this team doesn’t feel like a true championship contender.
They are clearly missing a perimeter creator to play alongside their MVP candidate. While there’s players like Zach LaVine, Bradley Beal, and Kyle Lowry being written as potential targets for the 76ers, there a particular shooting guard on the Orlando Magic that might fit the bill for Philly.
Evan Fournier should be a trade target of the Philadelphia 76ers.

I recently wrote on Evan Fournier as a potential target for the Sixers, but beyond touching on the fact he’s a three-level scorer and is in the final year of his contract. I didn’t do a great job in explaining why he would make sense as a target.
Fournier is in his prime at 28 years old and is having a career year scoring. He’s averaging 18.8 points and 3.9 assists, while converting 45.4 percent of his field goals and 37.5 of his 3-pointers. He’s not a defender by any stretch of the imagination, but he can play make and create his own shot.
Is Fournier an All-Star? Certainly not, but he can create his own offense at a certain level beyond what the perimeter players currently on the Sixers can. Unlike the other names mentioned above, he can be traded for a relatively cheap cost for the Sixers.
A trade package including Danny Green, a young player, and a protected first round pick could get a deal down with the Magic.
Targeting a player Fournier would help the Philadelphia 76ers in the short term without sacrificing too much. He shouldn’t be the club’s first option as a trade target, but he should be on their list.
