There was nobody who was consistently great this past week for the Philadelphia 76ers despite having a 3-1 record. That being said, Joel Embiid did a career night that really should help his MVP candidacy which is good enough to win him this player of the week.

Player of the Week: Joel Embiid

It was in the win against the Chicago Bulls in which Embiid had his career night. He had a career-high 50 points, along with 17 rebounds, five assists, two steals, four blocks, and two turnovers. He shot 17-26 on field goals, 1-2 from downtown, and 15-17 from the foul line. This game is a significant one in his MVP campaign.

The loss to the Toronto Raptors was the beginning of the roughs week for Embiid shooting the ball. He still put up impressive stats though. He finished with 25 points, 17 rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and two turnovers. However, he only shot 6-20 from the field, 1-3 from the 3-point line, and 12-14 free throws.
