3 free agent center options: Jordan Bell

Jordan Bell is the only center on this list who is a versatile as a defender on this list. He had a hot start to his career with the Golden State Warriors during their dynasty. He was a young athletic big who had upside as a defender, but sadly he never really developed beyond that.

“He gives the Sixers a small-ball five who can defend on the perimeter and run well in transition.”

The problem with the 26-year-old big man is that despite being a four year veteran, he’s not shown any progress in his development on either side of the ball. It can be argued that he regressed since his rookie season. For his career, he’s averaged 3.7 points and 3.2 rebounds, while shooting 55.6 percent from the field.

That being written, Bell is a good defender despite being undersized 6-foot-8 and he can finish around the rim. Despite just playing in the G-League, Bell would probably be a better third string center than Poirier.

He gives the Sixers a small-ball five who can defend on the perimeter and run well in transition. Despite his limitations, he could be worth a look if the Philadelphia 76ers want to have more diversity on the center depth chart.
