The Sixers are in for a long stretch of tough games, most on national television. We start off this podcast though with the recaps of the sloppy loss to New Orleans and the win against Oklahoma City.

In the loss against the Pelicans, the Sixers fanbase saw up close how dominant sophomore sensation, Zion WIlliamson, can be. Even against the DPOY candidate, Ben Simmons, Williamson had his way. We analyze all that went wrong for the 76ers in this game. Then we switch gears and talk about the win against the Thunder, where we rebounded from the forgettable performance in New Orleans. We touch on the positives in the OKC win, like the usual steady form of Embiid and excellent game from Furkan Korkmaz.

Ben Simmons made a jumper and Joel Embiid returned with uneven performances. What does the rest of this season hold in store for the Sixers?

The next focus revolves around the polarizing topic of Ben Simmons’ jump shot. What is promising though is that he shot two fundamentally sound mid-range jumpers, and made them, in the OKC game. We discuss how and why he took those shots in this particular game and whether or not Simmons will continue shooting further away from the rim.

The conversation then steers toward our MVP candidate, Joel Embiid. Since his return, his name has been reinserted into the MVP race. Behind only Nikola Jokic and Damian Lillard, according to NBA.com, Embiid is making a case for himself with his dominant play. Lucas, Chris, and Uriah talk about the center’s real chances of beating out the competition to be awarded the MVP trophy.

Then we offer roster updates that the 76ers management have made in the recent week. We discuss the addition of Anthony Tolliver and what it means for the team. Then, we offer our thoughts on how George Hill’s prolonged absence will affect the team in the short term and long term future.

The social media question of the week allows fans to chime in on which nationally televised games are the juiciest to watch in the next few weeks. Listen and you may hear your name mentioned if you posted a comment on Facebook or Twitter!
