The continuity of the Philadelphia 76ers is one of the positives for the franchise as the postseason approaches. That is also true of their bench unit and because of that continuity, the bench unit has gotten stronger as the season progressed.

For example, at the beginning of the season, Shake Milton was the clear-cut sixth man on the roster with no other player even close. However, as the season progress, especially in the month of April of 2021, Furkan Korkmaz‘s play has made him a legit candidate to be Sixers co-sixth man with Milton.

Korkmaz and Milton are the Sixers co-sixth men.

In the month of April alone, both have been spectacular for the 76ers. Despite a rough past two games for Milton, it’s been his best shooting the ball from the 3-point line for the season. Milton is shooting 45.7 percent from downtown while scoring 12.1 points per game, whereas on the season he’s shooting 34.0 percent from deep.

Korkmaz has been a fill-in starter for portions of the month for Philly due to injuries. However, it’s hard to deny what type of impact he’s had on this roster. In April he’s averaging 11.9 points on 42.9 percent from behind the arc.

Both players are have been efficient scoring as of lat andtheir aggressiveness overall is what Philadelphia needs. Having this one-two punch is a great thing for head coach Doc Rivers to use in a playoff series. If these two can continue to play like this into the postseason, then the Sixers bench becomes a positive for the franchise during a title run.
