Sixers as Star Wars — Doc Rivers : Yoda

Yoda carries wisdom no other soul carries. He is the mastermind atop the Jedi Order. The creature everyone turns to for advice. There are mistakes on his record — I mean, he certainly bungled the whole Anakin Skywalker thing — and no one would dare claim he’s perfect, but Yoda is, in many ways, the voice of God.

When Yoda says something, it is typically an order worth following. He had Luke in the best shape of his life. Before Yoda, Luke was an aimless kid struggling with his place in the world. All of a sudden he’s with Yoda for a bit, and Luke is, like, MVP.

Doc is old. Past his prime. His playing days are well in the rear view mirror, sure. But he can still see the chess board more than anyone else. He knows who needs to go where, and he’s not afraid to let people know their place in the Jedi Order.
