Sixers as Star Wars — Matisse Thybulle : Darth Maul

Darth Maul was an elite defender. Just looking back at the game tape, he could stifle an offensive attack better than anyone. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan really struggled to penetrate his double-bladed saber. Too much length. He held both of them at bay, and he was still an apprentice in training.

Both quick and graceful, Maul could maneuver around a space with remarkable precision. Did he gamble a bit at the end? Did his youth get the better of him? It did, but still, his defense deserves praise.

Sixers as Star Wars — George Hill : R2-D2

This is far from an insult, as R2-D2 is critical to Luke’s success. He’s a great glue piece. He plugs holes. He can fly a ship, open doors, chip in with the occasional lightning-zapping of some bad guys. He can fly, he can roll. Simply put, R2-D2 checks a lot of boxes. And, he’s clearly a great presence in the locker room.

He also has experience. The dude has been on different teams and in different situations. He knows how the navigate clutch situations. He has been with Luke, with Rey… the Jawas? Versatility and experience are important for a complementary talent.
