5 Play-in Tournament free agent targets: Doug McDermott

Out of all the players on this list, Doug McDermott probably fills most of the needs the Sixers will have to address this offseason. He can play either forward position, and he’s shown to be a pretty good 3-point shooter. However, could the Sixers afford him without a sign-and-trade?

The answer is no, he’s a shooter who’s having a career year scoring. He’s averaged 13.6 points (career-high) on 38.8 percent from deep. He’s probably going to get between $10-13 million per year in free agency.

However, if he could land in Philly, he could fill the need as a stretch four that the 76ers desperately need. He’s not great defensively but at 6-foot-7, he’s big enough to defend most opposing reserve power forwards without being a major defensive liability.

Next. Is it Conference Finals or trade for Simmons?. dark

Some of the free agents on this list would have to be acquired via sign-and-trade, but they’re still players that the Philadelphia 76ers need to keep an eye on during the play-in tournament.
